I am VERY disappointed in my movie experience tonight. I visited this movie theatre with my children tonight to see "Diary of a Whimpy Kid" 7:30 show. About 10 mins into the move I went to the manager Brent because there was a woman in the theatre who laughed obnoxiously loud. He asked me if she was talking and i said no. He then said that he would have someone take care of it. About 40 minutes later an employee literally walked in the theatre and walked back out. The woman was even loud during the employee's minute in the theatre. I waited for something to be done, for someone to come back and address the situation but nothing. There were even other people in the theatre who sucked their teeth in discontent at this loud woman. Her children even joined in after a while and was just as loud some of them even screamed at times. The woman was even laughing obnoxiously loud at the credits. There was literally just words on the screen. After the movie i went back to the manager's station and spoke to Matt the asst manager. As i began to explain my situation to him his body language simply screamed disgust as though he wanted me to just shut up. When I was through speaking he asked me if the woman was talking through the movie, I replied no. Then he said in a very "I don't care attitude" there is nothing we can do. I then asked to speak to Matt's supervisor who happened to be Brent. It took Brent forever to come out and because Mat had gone to the back to tell his version of the incident. When Brent finally made it to the front I asked him if he had spoken to Matt and he said yes. The funny thing is that I didn't even ask Matt for his boss I asked another employee while Matt was in the back. He must have gotten wind that I was going ot complain and wanted to CYA before I spoke to his boss. When Brent finally came out, I explained the situation to him pertaining ot my initial complain and the incident with Matt. His response was, "well we sent someone but if she is just reacting to the movie there is nothing we can do." I told him that I explained to him that in my initial complaint I specifically said that all she was doing was laughing loudly and if he knew there was nothing he could do he should have told me that in the beginning of the movie and I could have seen it at another time or gotten a refund but I was made to believe that I would have a pleasant movie experience but instead sat through a movie with a very obnoxious movie goer and nothing was done about it. I even asked him why he didn't reach out to me to let me know that nothing could be done. He said wait for it......he didn't want to interrupt me during the movie!! I responded you didn't want to interrupt me so you allowed this really loud woman to interrupt me. He even had the audacity to ask me why I did not come back to complain again. Had i come back nothing still would not have been done because according to the him they have no control over someone reacting to a movie. I am to believe that if i go to a movie and someone is cursing at the screen, or throwing objects, then i should just sit through that because they are "reacting to the movie." that is pure crap. I will NEVER go back ot that movie theatre. No effort was made to ensure I had a pleasant movie experience and for the $26 i spent on tickets and the money I spent on popcorn. I will go elsewhere even if it means spending a few extra dollars, and tell everyone I know about my experience. I left the movie theatre feeling as though Regal does not care about its movie goers and is just a cash cow once you pay your money they could care less about the quality of service. I was actually more appalled with both manager's behavior than the loud woman.
