This hotel, somewhat standard business/young family hotel, is in downtown "old" Palm Springs. It is less glitzy and smaller than many of the newer resorts, but with excellent service, nice facilities, albeit not as luxurious as Palm Desert, and is within walking distance of downtown restaurants, shops and events. The Thursday night street fair is not to be missed. The airport shuttle allows one to have a vacation without rental car, if one desires. Look for Gerardo, one of the valets, for exceptional service and assistance. Pros: Near downtown/shuttle, Nice pool area, Excellent service Cons: Corporate style
