Well hospital was sold...well sort of. It was a merger and was all over the public trading sites for months. I was skeptical and didn't know what to think. If you ask the staff and doctors who are working at the hospital, they will tell you the "new owners" seem to be much more on the ball then the previous ones. The vets are WONDERFUL!!! I can not remember the name of one of them, but Dr Ficcocello (I know I just screwed that spelling up) is a dream. Both are sweet, caring, and very knowlegable. I also understand that they have board certified surgeon on staff and that they just hired a medical director with an impressive background. The staff are amazing....truly caring women and really try to make sure that you understand what is going on and what to expect. My goofy lab, Mocha, had been struck by a car and luckily only had a minor break in her leg. The staff and doctors couldn't have been more sympathetic, caring and most important quick and effective in helping make sure she had no other concerns (internal bleeding) and fixed her right up. A couple of bandage changes later and Mocha is as good as new. We had been going there for years but when Mocha was in need, VCA Lancaster Animal Hospital was there to help. Two thumbs way way up! Pros: caring staff, clean building, great doctors Cons: absolutely nothing
