Review content:
Stopped in Boston to meet our son for a quick lunch in the Southie area and decided to try O'Connors at the Westin on Summer St. We used the parking garage at the hotel. The food was okay, nothing special, but no complaints either. As we were leaving, we asked our waitress to validate our parking garage ticket and she said she wasn't sure if that could be done. So we asked the hostess and she said she could validate the ticket. We were driving out of the garage and when we got up to the kiosk for the parking ticket, the trouble began. The gate wouldn't open when we inserted our ticket. We couldn't figure out why. A security person walked over and told us that we still owed money to park and that we had to go back into the lobby to pay an additional $16.00 to park even though we just spent money in the restaurant. We were told to leave our car at the gate while we went up to the lobby to pay the balance. There are no signs regarding parking fees posted at the entrance to the garage or in the restaurant. The hostessalso failed to inform us that there would be an additional charge. Had a sign been posted at the garage entrance, we wouldn't have stayed. I think this is pretty deceptive of the Westin and the employees of the restaurant. Guess we won't be going back there......
