I moved into my new place at the beginning of the month and these guys still pop up in my mind from time to time.
I had to move all my stuff from one apartment to the next on Aug 1st. In other words, I only had a few hours to get from place A to place B. Talk about stress. The last few times I moved, I had the luxury of having several days to move and used my friends and their trucks accordingly.
But when I thought about my lazy friends trying to carry a couch, a futon, and my king size mattress down one flight of stairs and up three flights at my new apartment... I decided it might be the best idea to hire movers this once.
They showed up on time (I think it was like 8:30am), in high spirits, with tons of energy, and the icing on the cake? The only thing I had to do was point. They even took care of the stuff I hadn't had time to pack up yet (oops!). When we got to my new place, they were so accommodating... And patient! (I had them move my couches around a couple of times because I wasn't sure where I wanted them.)
