My roommate and I just moved to San Diego and were refered to Maria Malcuit through South Bay Volkswagen when we were purchasing our cars. We were able to set up our insurance right at the car dealership with Maria over the phone and she supposedly found us some great deals so we paid her the $290 she charged for a fee and our fist month of insurance (which should have only been $111). We received a temporary insurance card with so many mistakes on it (address, dates, etc.) we should have known something was wrong! We should have been receiving everything else in the mail and we never did. We tried contacting her several times but were only able to leave voicemails. We never received any calls back and I got a letter in the mail saying that my car registration was being suspended because I had no insurance!! We've never heard from her, lost our $290, and had to find our own insurance elsewhere. Terrrriibbllee service!!!!!
Pros: we thought we were getting a great deal very conveniently!
Cons: charged us but never actually gave us insurance! and never returned phone calls!
