Review content:
I recently attended a wedding at the Avalon, and I was impressed, though some of the facility's decor details seemed a bit over the top (the wall of water in the entry way for example).
The wedding was held outside on the well-landscaped grounds, and though there was a problem with the sound, the whole ceremony was lovely. Plenty of flowers and comfortable chairs for the guests.
The cocktail reception was held in the lobby, and again, everything went smoothly. The staff is extremely professional and non-intrusive.
The dinner was good, and again the service was impeccable.
I've been to a number of weddings at event facilities around the city, and this was definitely one of the better places I've been to. I know it's pricey, but I have a feeling you're getting what you pay for!
