I have know Dr. Burd for approx., 15 years. While I was living at home , my parents always went to him for the care of our cocker spaniels. I started taking my cats to me. This man is a very compassionate person when it comes to animals and not just cats & dogs. He is one of Arkansas Best Vet. surgeon as well. I moved away from home and then we moved back in 2005 and I knew I would be going to see him soon for one of my cats. But what started out as a great reunion of being back home and going to the best vet. there is, ended up being a very sad one also. My cat Sam, was 16 yrs old, and was having some problems. After seeing Dr. Burd , I was to bring in back in a month but I ended up taking him back within a week. Sam was my best friend and he could always tell if something was wrong with me. He was very loving as well. Sam health had deterred and he was in renal failure so my husband & I had to decided to put Sam to sleep. Dr. Burd, let me hold him as he gave him the shot and then I couldn't hold him anymore! Dr. Burd is a very understanding person when it comes to animals and he would do whatever he could to make the animal better, he has a very big heart !!! He & his partner Dr. Blount are both very professional but they also have a human side to them. They have been in practice for many years on Rogers ave and I HIGHLY recommend that if you have a pet to take it to them---you won't be disappointed!!
