A debt collector by the name of Dan Davis was extremely rude to me. He first called a week ago. I asked him to call me back the next day and told him that I intended to work out a payment plan. I was not available when he called me the next day, since my medical appointment did not go well, and I was feeling very sick. When we finally spoke a week later, he was so rude. He spoke to me so demeaning, scolding me for not talking to him sooner, and accusing me of not caring about my outstanding bills. He treated me as if I'm some lazy schlep who does not want to pay my bills. My medical bills are out of control. I get that, and I'm very stressed about it. But they are medical bills, for Pete's sake. It's not like I'm racking up credit cards on a shopping spree! He could show a little compassion! I asked to speak to a supervisor, and he hung up on me! I called back and got him again. He again gave me attitude and accused me of calling him names, which I did not. He finally got a supervisor on the phone and told the supervisor before getting off the phone "good luck." I didn't catch the supervisor's name. She gave me an obligatory apology for Dan Davis' behavior and then proceeded to work out a payment plan.
