Review content:
Yadkin Valley Steakhouse is a lovely little steak house in Albemarle. The outside is unassuming, but once you walk in you realize you’re in a more upper class restaurant. They bring out warm black bread with soft butter while you look at the menu on the candle-lit tables. They have a special method of cooking called Stone Grilling, in which they heat up a slab of granite and sear all their meat on it, to sear in all the juices. It produces incredible results. I had pepper-encrusted beef medallions with a caramel sauce and the flavors were out of this world!! The hot peppercorns contrasted with the sweet caramel was tantilizing! To conclude our meal we had outstanding chess pie and some Yadkin Valley coffee, which was rich and aromatic. They sell that up front, I’d recommend buying some. My only complaint was it wasn’t super fast, as it was pretty busy. But everything else is an A+.
