Boston Movers did an adequate job on our move. The movers were polite and reasonably careful. Although the estimate we got from them was lower than others, the final cost was higher (about 25% above estimate). This was achieved by charging exorbitant fees for boxes, gas, and tape, and by the movers getting "lost" for over an hour between Providence and Boston, which we had to pay for at $130/hour.
All and all, Boston Movers was par for the course. This is a dirty business, and they were neither more nor less dirty than the average. I suspect that a lot of the glowing reviews here are shills.
Pros: Not a disaster
Cons: will find ways of charging over the initial estimate
