Review content:
I got up for work one day and as I was closing my garage door after I pulled my car out, I heard a bang and the door dropped 2 feet to the floor! I didnt know what was going on, so I called up my neighbor who I usually ask about these kinds of things and he told me the spring above my door broke and the weight of the door ripped my opener arm off of it. He said he couldnt fix it, but he had a sticker on the wall in his garage with Haney Door Service's phone number on it. I called them up and Dan answered the phone. He was very friendly and when I told him what happened and he quoted me a price for the job ($195). I told him I wanted to shop around a bit before I decided to have someone come out to fix it and he was okay with it. I called around, first to AA Patriot, and they quoted me $300 for it and told me they were too busy for my business when I said I was just shopping around. Then I called Door Mart and they quoted me $275 for the same thing! They were a little more accepting about me shopping around, but not much. They were both very impersonal and rude when I told them I was just getting prices, they almost hung up on me right there. Finally I decided to give Dan a call again to have him come out and fix my door, he remembered me and my problem, he was very cordial. I gave him my name and address and while he was already helping someone else with their door, he told me he could come out right after he was done. An hour later he showed up at my door with his stepson, Robert, and they got right to work on my door. the entire job only took a half an hour as Robert went to town on the spring, taking it down and putting not one spring, but TWO new ones on as Dan repaired the door and put the arm back on while at the same time explaining to me not just what he was doing, but why the two of them were doing it the way they were. I learned more about my garage door in that half hour than I ever thought possible. I had no idea that if I had tried to fix it myself, I coulve lost my door or worse, a few fingers. These guys are real professionals! I'll definately call them again
