I’m a Tick Tock Clock When I was a toddler I started coughing a lot. My mom took me to the doctor, but the doctor thought I was faking it! A few years later I was playing video games, when my eyes and head started to jerk. My mom saw it and got really scared. She took a video of it and gave it to the doctor. Several months later they told me that I had Tourettes Syndrome. The doctor said it would get worse but that I would likely grow out of it. I was sad… there was stuff that I couldn’t do because of it. My mom had been seeing Dr. Barton because she was pregnant and the baby was hurting her hip. She asked if I wanted to go because she read something and thought that he could help. I said ok. Dr. Barton said that he probably wouldn’t be able to fix it all the way but that he might be able to get most of it gone. I now have had the “ticks” for two years and it is mostly gone. Sometimes my “ticks” change, but when I get adjusted they get much better and I feel a lot better too! Thank you for letting me be a normal kid again!
