Established in 1982, Marchetti's is a very popular Italian restaurant that offers large portion sizes at inexpensive prices in a casual atmosphere. Portion sizes are always enough to share or to take home left overs for another meal. The variety on the menu is vast - sandwiches, seafood, pasta, veal, chicken, steak and family style salad at every table. If you are a pasta fanatic (like me), you'll love my personal favorite, the Pasta Norma ($10.50) served with fresh eggplant, peppers, onions, and mushrooms sautéed in olive oil tossed with bowtie pasta in a light marinara sauce. The Swordfish Siciliano ($13.95) is another great dish. It's sautéed with roasted red peppers, hot pepper rings, and sliced black olives, tossed in a garlic butter and white wine sauce over linguine. Closed on Mondays but open every other day from lunch to dinner. Usually a wait on weekend nights but worth the wait.
