Jake's Roadhouse is one of the famous campus bars located right at chauncey in the shopping plaza; this place is -hopping- any Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night... and most Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesdays too. It's got a auto garage theme that they pull of nicely, combined with some TVs for the sports fans. During the day, they are a restaurant, and at night they are a bar. The food is decent, not great, but decent, although their prices are pretty steep for what quality of food they serve. Come in at lunch time Mon-Thur for half price appetizers and make it a meal if you want a deal. If you're looking for drinks, stop by Monday for Mug Night or Wednesday for cheap well drinks. Tuesday and Thursday have beer specials if that's your thing. No specials on the weekends, but they do serve free hot dogs and free popcorn after 11pm. Overall, Jakes is a favorite that you can't miss if you want to see the nightlife at Purdue.
