Review content:
I have been to the Village Day spa serveral times and had always been pleased with my visits. So much so that I booked a double massage and facials for me and my friend (she had never been there). I called the spa to make the apoointments 2 weeks in advance to ensure we would get the day and time we wanted. The receptionist was terrible, I had to tell her what we wanted at least 3 times. After she finally understood and was taking our names, that was another 3 time explaination and spellings several times. After a much longer than needed phone call, we had our appointments and were all set. Or so we thought. The day before our appointment, a message was left on my voice mail that there had been a mix up and our appointments were going to be pushed back. It was only 15 minutes so I didnt think much of it. After arriving to the spa on-time, we were not greeted very friendly and taken into the waiting room. After waiting for about 15-20 minutes, our therapists came to get us. When we walked into the room, they asked about the massage we were getting but did not have the correct information. But they were very nice and gave us the massage which we had booked, although it was not what their records had indicated. We also told them we were getting facials after the massage, and they seemed surprised but went and got us robes to put on after our massage. We did have very nice massages, the therapists were very good and friendly. After our massage, we were taken to a room where we could put our belonginsg in a locker and then told to go back to the waiting room. After sitting for another 15-20 minutes, the receptionist came back to tell us that they did not have us booked for a facial and were too busy to fit us in. When I told her how upset we were she said the only thing she could do was give us 20% off our next visit. The staff was not very apologetic and the right thing would have been to give us 20% of this visit as neither one of us will be returning to thiis spa. We chose Village Day spa because they offered a girlfirends massage package and I had had good experience there in the past. However, we did look at 2 other spas first and now realize we should have gone to one of them. I do understand that mistakes happen, however, the spa did not handle it correctly. Please be careful if you choose to book here, and I would call a few days before your services to confirm. although that should be the job of the spa.
