Review content:
Pi Kappa Phi recently refounded the Cornell chapter. I was one of the founding fathers. We received our charter after one year and have worked really hard to build the fraternity up.
One of the biggest things that makes our chapter great is the no hazing policy. A lot of chapters might say this, but we swear by it. I wasn't hazed at all when I joined and that is something that we have passed on from year to year. We believe that you can't build a man up by breaking him down and thus are very strict about this policy.
We are also the only national fraternity with its own national philanthropy: PUSH America which helps people with disabilities. We raise money but then also use that money ourselves to help people with disabilities. We have accessibility projects to make places such as playgrounds and camps accessible to those with disabilities and also have a yearly event called the Journey of Hope where Pi Kapps from around the country ride their bikes from San Francisco to Washington DC to raise money and awareness.
While I am definitely biased because I am a member, I would encourage any students who are interested to stop by the house, either during a formal rush period or at any point to check it out and see if it is right for you.
