Review content:
Never written a review before and had to totally step outside of myself and do so for this accommodating "spa." FIRST, I want to encourage you to all LOOK at the dates of the previous reviews. As you can see they are dated on the same date (8/23) and all positive. THAT should have been a red flag for me to begin with. Nevertheless, I purchased a Groupon voucher on 9/8, contact the spa on 9/11 only to speak with a young lady who was the most ill informed. She was very uncertain about appointment options, services offered as well as the amount of therapist that work there. After advising the her that I purchased the Groupon to celebrate my 9th wedding anniversary (at the end of Sept) she suggested that she take my name/number and ask the owner/therapist to return my call. Well, I waited two days and no return phone call, so I thought to myself.....I need to call because the appointment date desired (end of the month) was rapidly approaching. Called Cle'a on the evening of the 48th hour, spoke with her for approx. 10 minutes. After listening to paper shuffling and a toddler in the background, she advised me that her weekends are usually booked, and alternate slots fell during the week and between 10am - 12pm......fortunately for my husband and I, we are both working adults and could not make an appointment during weekday/midday times. The topper....... Cle'a then informed me that when/if I DO make an appointment I would NOT be able to redeem two vouchers (which obviously I got two for a couples massage) at the same time. She said that if I do, there would be an EXTRA $45 charge, OR I could schedule our appointments separately (totally defeating the celebration of out anniversary). At this point I was just about over it. She then apologized (which I did appreciate) and indicated that we opt for a refund which I am doing RIGHT NOW. Two things I WILL say: 1) other than the paper shuffling and the child in the background Cle'a was indeed pleasant in our conversation (credit is due there) 2) I totally FAILED to do further research prior to purchasing the groupon voucher for this Riverdale Spa. Signed, Never had this issue from ANY Groupon, Living Social, nor Crowd Cut vendor. Very unfortunate.
