I am in pain. I have knots in my back. I scheduled & paid for a 90 minute DEEP tissue massage. I went to my appointment, and did not recieve it. Instead, I got what the therapist decided to give me. If you need a REAL deep tissue massage, don't go to this place. 90 % of my massage was swedish (very light pressure) basically just enough where it feels like your friend is "half-ass" doing it for you. I was expecting that a professional would know better. It was a lazy attempt on her part, and it did not give me any relief, because there was no deep pressure used on my muscles. When I schedlued my massage I asked for deep tissue, and the receptionist told me that my therapist "specialized" in deep tissue. NO. No, she clearly did not "specialize" in that at all. When I called to say something about it today, the owners treated me like it was MY fault. They were giving me excuses right and left about how "communication is very important during the massage".. I didn't know that I would have to tell my therapist how to do her job. I didn't know that was my responsibility. I told my therapist during the massage that I wanted deeper pressure, but she did not seem to understand how to maintain a deep pressure. She was using light, flowing swedish on me. When I told the owner that, she said to me " The therapist told me that you told her you didn't want it to be too deep" Which was an out right lie! I scheduled a deep tissue, and I pre-paid for it- and that is what she should have given me. The owner did not do anything to try and make things right with this situation. All she offered me was excuses and blamed me for my dissatisfaction. ALSO, I came in at the end of the day, and the woman at the desk was leaving. So it was just me and the massage therapist left alone in the building. That is very rude, and unprofessional. What if something would have happend? That just shows me they have a blatent lack of concearn for me, and the massage therapist. This place looks "pretty", but the looks arn't everything.. Trust me, from what I have seen, you will NOT get what you pay for.
