This is a very reliable and honest contractor who got in trouble when he was a teenager after his brother was murdered. He paid his dues and has not been in trouble since and that was over 18 yrs ago. There has been 1 customer in 18 yrs with a complaint. This customer wanted an addition and only paid 55K for a 3-story addition. They put a claim into MHIC for 60K, money the company never even received, (being greedy). They kept changing their mind after addition was built, but didn't want to pay. The company was kicked off job cause we sent a demand letter for payment, not cause of the work, but the customer complains the company walked off job. Not so. The customer went to the State's Attorney and lied to them, telling them we took their money and left. The State's Attorney did investigate and found that they were lying. The customer has a 3-story addition with all windows and doors and roof. You can look for yourself at MD Judiciary and while you're at it, the customer who contacted you and told you lies - this company was found not at fault. The slumlord was found in breach of contract and was not ripped off. If you checked her out, you would see she has over 25 civil lawsuits herself under 4 different first and last names. She lied in court and was lucky not to be charged with perjury. There is proof of this. Check your facts before you read any more garbage. There are thousands of great references for this contractor, who is very detailed and always, always shows up and does the work himself. If there is ever a problem, he will show up and can fix anything. And -- if he can't, he will find someone who will. He did not disappear with 60K of the customer's money. They have a 3-story addition for 55K and still owes money to this company. This company did not walk off the job, they just asked for monies that were owed, and the homeowner wanted something for nothing, and the homeowner asked the company not to come back cause we kept asking for the money that was owed and we would not proceed until all monies were paid. I call that GREED. I also call what you're saying defamation of character and get ready for that lawsuit.
