Businiess name:  Heat Salon

Review content:
I've have been to JMS/Heat 6 times in the past 2 years. The last time was 5 weeks ago for a hair cut with Maria; she was friendly and attentive. The cut was a bit rushed at the end since we had had such a grand time chatting during the process and another client came in. I was told I could come back by the end of the week to get a touchup, but did not figure out the problem until the beginning of the next week, so I fixed it myself (as I have done on other occasions after getting my hair cut there). In contrast, when Lisa cut my hair I ask her to trim just a bit more to get it just as I like it (which is what I pay a "stylist" to do) and when she thought I wasn't looking, she actually rolled her eyes in exasperation! I had an appointment today for a bang trim. Granted, I was between 1 and 4 minutes late, but I wasn't told until I got there that I had been "double-booked" with someone else's hair coloring and was asked to wait 20 minutes. I also went there because I had been over-charged on my credit card bill. I received a refund with no hassle. But I had to go back to work, so I left without saying anything further. They called me an hour and a half (!) after my appointment to ask if I knew my appointment was today. I explained that I had been there and they had been busy. She asked if I'd like to reschedule. I said, "no thank you." She said "OK" and hung up (!) on me. They act like they're doing you a favor by letting you come see them and their services are EXPENSIVE. I won't go back; there are TONS of other salons in town. If you don't mind paying $70 for a haircut and tip and don't care how they treat you, or even exactly how your hair looks, be my guest.
