Review content:
I've had some bad experiences with contractors and hate remodeling as a result. I needed to get most of my house re-carpeted and wanted some tile work done in my kitchen. I heard about A-1 through a builder friend of mind. It's kind of a small place that mostly deals directly with builders, so their hours aren't the most convenient, but the showroom is nice and has a good selection. Anyway, I found the owner Curt to be very friendly and knowledgeable. The thing that really impressed me is that unlike some of the bigger places, I didn't get the run around about getting a quote or scheduling. Curt was very up front about everything and he followed through with everything he said he would do, which is too rare these days. Once I picked the carpet and tile, he took care of everything else and it went very smooth. Overall it was a pleasant surprise to deal with someone who gave me individual attention and took a lot of the stress out of the process. The prices were even comparable to the bigger stores, and the installers he used were professional and courteous. I would definitely recommend.
Pros: Individual attention, followed through consistently, good quality workmanship
Cons: not as extensive of showroom as most places, limited hours of showroom
