Review content:
Although my previous experiences at Divan were pleasant, I regret ever patronizing this establishment. My husband and I entertained a large group of family members there for dinner and spent a large sum of money there last night. The many tapas plates that we ordered were delicious, as well as the entrees, which we all ate. Our server was polite. However, we were not given a chance to order desserts or coffee, which we all wanted. Nor were we allowed to order hookah, of which we wanted several. In fact, we were asked to leave while I was still eating my $31 lambchops! Apparently "our time was up." Even after a conversation with the manager, who was quite condescending and smarmy, we were still booted from the restaurant before we were finished with our evening. Despite our great displeasure, we were still asked to pay our entire bill, which was hundreds of dollars. My husband and I are Arab, his brothers and cousin are all Arab, and we will all raise large Arab families in Atlanta. Had we not been treated so very, very poorly, we would have returned many times, together and individually. However, because we feel mistreated and embarrassed, Divan has now forfieted thousands of our dollars in future revenue. So, if your looking to be rushed through expensive cuisine and the thrown into the street (and in our case, rain), then Divan is the place for you.
