Review content:
The job was to replace and expand existing driveway, rebuild existing driveway entry posts with stone and lighting, and build a small retaining wall with stones and mortar. I selected C-M-P due to price, website, and personal interaction during the discussion phase of the project. The work crew was cordial. Results: Retaining wall came out ok, but this was done by a subcontracted mason. The driveway was expanded to the agreed dimensions, but the entrance was pinched in. Moreover, five months after the install (done in November) grass and weeds started pushing up the asphalt. Checking the edges of the driveway for the depth of process (gravel under the asphalt that acts as a support base) there was only 2". The contract states 4-6". Stone posts were left partially built and crooked. I made numerous phone calls to Al K. as well as the job foreman Bill but never got a call back. I found another mason to finish the job. In the spring Al left me a note in my mailbox to call him. I did call and he accused me of bad-mouthing CMP on the internet. I reiterated the issues with the workmanship and I told him what he found on the internet was not my doing (other than this review). He reminded me of their two year warranty and that he would pay for the cost of finishing the driveway posts. Suffice it to say does not returns my phone calls nor did he pay for the extra work. Because of this experience I know what poor workmanship looks like and the type of self proclaimed professional that produces it.
