See my review of Home Depot for a comparison. Menard's used to be the only game in town til Home Depot came to town. Menard's has one thing going for it, which is it's rebate/sales program. You can usually get a couple of items free each month. Granted they are at times cheaply made or poorer quality items, but some are really worth the trip. Getting items picked up is a royal hassle. You have to go into a gated area, often wait in a line of cars to even get in, then have to go through the line again to get checked out, all to make sure you don't take something you didn't pay for. It's kind of like going through an airport line!
