Review content:
I rent from this company, but would not recommend them if you have the option (they own a large portion of the rental properties in the Denton area). I am a college student and rent a small, inexpensive house. Everytime I've had a problem, they never fail to point out that my rent is cheap. I'm a good tenant - my main problems have consisted of a leaky stove and an A/C unit that stopped working, so it hasn't been unreasonable for me to request them taking care of these problems.
When they initially showed me the house, I noticed that the shed in the backyard was in complete disrepair, and the man showing the house assured me they would replace it. A year later, they still had not replaced it so I called them. They said there was no record that they were to replace it, and that I just didn't pay enough to warrant replacement of the shed. This house has a large backyard and has to be mowed, so a good shed is necessary - luckily my father was nice enough to come and fix the shed up to a somewhat usable condition, although it really does need to be replaced.
My worst experience is as follows: I have not had heat for the past two winters and when renegotiating my lease with them this year, I insisted on getting heat. The manager that called me first played a prank on me, saying that before we got down to business, he needed to let me know that my dog got out and killed one of the neighbors cats. I can take a joke, but that was not at all funny. I was starting to get upset before he told me he was kidding. After that, as has happened in the past, he then took a look at my account and says that my rent isn't that much. In the end, we agreed they I would get heat, but these are the sort of things you must go through when dealing with them.
I did not have the financial resources to move this year, but next year I'm outta here and I will not rent from them again!
