Forever Grand Vacations refused to allow us to attend their presentation when we met all 10 of their qualifications and also refused to refund the $75.00 we were promised.
We were sold this deal by a place across the street called Market Source. They first sold us show tickets and then said that if we attended this presentation given by Forever Grand Vacations we would get the tickets discounted by $75.00. We thought "what the heck"; We had nothing planned for the next morning anyway, and were interested in what kind of vacation deal these people were selling.
Too make a long story as short as possible when we showed up for the presentation they looked at our driver licenses and had us take a seat for the next half hour. After they had herded everyone else out of the waiting room they told us that we were not eligible for the presentation. Asking why, they said that our addresses on our driver licenses did not match. (My Significant other and I have been Cohabitating for the last 4 years. My driver’s license has not yet expired so I had not had the address updated on it.)
The salesperson at Market Source didn’t say that we had to have matching address on driver licenses, nor does the agreement you sign state this. It only states you must have a matching address, not how you have to prove it.
I explained that to them and asked them to just look our mailing addresses or billing addresses up on the internet, or I could for them, and that this would prove that we live at the same address. They refused to do this. I said fine to just refund the extra $75.00 we paid and we would be on our way. They of course refused to do this and kept the money.
We went back to Market Source and the guy also refused to refund the money we were legally eligible to receive and laughed a said "we'll at least you got to see a show". The Market Source employee also had initialed the contract that we did qualify when selling us on this deal.
I'm glad I am out only $75.00. I can't imagine what happens to the people that actually purchase a vacation package from these thieves.
Branson is full of these so-called businesses. I would encourage anyone to stay away from them all.
