Good: I went to ER for chest discomfort and problems breathing. ER staff very good to me. And I would like for them to know this.. Bad: I was admitted and my day nurse was very kind. Then there is the evening nurse, I started having the chest pain again (around 9:30PM) and problems with breathing. She gave me Tylenol and never came back. I had to call her again, the pain was bad, I was crying asked her to call my MD. Later I found out from my MD she didn't tell him about the pain and that I wanted to leave against medical advise. That's when I got the Zanax. I think I finally dozed off at 3:00AM. Continued the next day with the same problem. Improvements: I was told symptoms were stress related. Test were relatively normal. I was told how busy the floor was. My advise if they are too busy, send patients to other hospitals or get more staff. And because my problems are apparently stress related they are not as important because I am not going to die from A heart attack in the near future, so it was okay to let me lay there. I was told by 5 different people I would see a cardiologist, never happened. If I did see one I never got that persons title or name.. Other: At 1030PM I thought maybe I should call my MD from my room, looking back that's what I should of done.I will not ever be admitted to KCH again. This creates a problem for me as I will need to change MD. I did want to leave against medical advise but health insurance will not pay the bill. To let someone lay there for hours and not care is not right. Especially with today's world of medicine. This page wants me to rate KCH, I'm unable to do this..
