Bob was superb in giving hybrid battery replacement services. When I bought my Prius, my dealer said that the batteries of hybrid cars are generally reliable and long-lasting – with a lifespan as long as that of the vehicle itself – as long as the charging system of the vehicles work properly. I was given the standard battery warranty that lasts until 100,000 miles. But of course the battery life lasted longer than this because warranted components are designed to last longer than their warranty period. I do know that no battery lasts forever and by 150,000 miles, I began experiencing problems with my car. What I did not anticipate that hybrid battery replacement will be this expensive! The earliest Prius battery costs around $5,000 to $6,000, the second gen around $3,000, and the third gen around $2,000. That excludes labor cost. I just maintained a positive attitude and thought of the savings I had in terms of fuel expenses as well as the contribution I gave to saving Mother Earth. Thanks to Bob and his team though, I had my hybrid battery replacement at a fair price. Though the batteries are expensive, Bob’s services are within the budget, in fact, the most reasonable among the shops that I have visited.
