When I first moved in I marked on the move-in form that there were stains on the carpet (smelled like cat pee.) When I moved out I received a bill for over $500 for pet urine damage including a $250 fee for an unauthorized pet. I do not own any pets - I'm allergic to animals. I called the complex and staff was rude. They agreed to remove the unauthorized pet fee "against my better judgment" because I offered to give them medical records showing I'm allergic to animals. They refused to remove the over $270 fees in cleaning the pet urine stains and even stated that since I don't have pets it must be human urine. I explained that I had book shelves sitting on this area of the carpet and obviously didn't pee on the carpet. They acknowledged that I had marked on my move-in form that the carpets were stained. I asked about the appeal process and they told me there isn't one and my only choice is to go to collections. If you read other reviews you will read the same thing!
