The Flip Side Coffee House

Review content:
The Flipside is Woodinville's only independent coffeehouse. If I remember correctly, they opened in the Summer of 2004, so they're relatively new. The cafe is somehwat hidden in a strip mall near the Taco Bell and Racha Thai, but go out of your way to find it. The coffee is really, really good. Plus, they have a nice selection of beautiful (but somewhat expensive) desserts.
The crowd at the Flipside is varied - lots of younger folks as well as families. A number of community groups, including our neighborhood women's group, meets here (instead of Tully's) now. The Flipside features local artists, live music on the weekends, a book club and poetry readings.
When the Flipside first opened, they were open very late (i.e. long after Starbucks closed!). Apparently, they didn't get enough late-night business in Woodinville because they have reduced their hours.
My only complaint is that the ambience is a bit sterile. The chairs aren't very comfortable, and the space feels really empty when the place isn't packed. That said, I always enjoy sipping a latte here.
