Awful. We (my wife and I) purchased "VIP" tickets from a man in Times Square. He said there would be a popular comedy cable channel taping at the club and our tickets would get us front row seats BUT to still call ahead for reservations, which we did. After purchasing the tickets he informed us of the two drink minimum but said beers would only cost $8.00 each. We arrived at the club and were seated in the back despite our reservations and "VIP" tickets. We mentioned this to the waiter/doorman who only nodded his head and walked away. Our first two beers cost us $10.00 each, not $8.00. The comedians were only mildly funny. The last guy was so bad many people left. He wasn't crude or obscene, just not funny, at all. The cable channel was not anywhere around. There were kids ages 13-16 in the club, apparently there is no age requirement to get in???? The bar area is attached to the main stage area and the manager/bartender and other people were talking so loudly among themselves that it was interferring with the comedians on the stage. One of them even commented about it. The final straw for me was when a lady complained to the manager about the amount of the bill (apparently she was told different drink prices too) and he told her if she didn't like it to go somewhere else. Completely unprofessional. Rodney himself must be rolling over in his grave over what's happened to his club. Next time i'm in the city i'm going to Caroline's. Pros: It's a piece of comedy history. Cons: prices, bad advertising, bad staff.
