Review content:
If you can blow my hair out, then maybe I'll let you cut may hair. For the past 3-4 years, my son and I, are both Claire's clients. We both have very thick hair. I prefer scissors to be used when cutting my son's hair, not clippers. Claire indulges my whim.
I wanted to change my look. I've been coloring my own hair for years - 10 to 12. I'm dark brown, black on the ends. How else to do it quick? Change the hair. I must've interviewd 6 stylists / colorists from Miami Beach; Pinecrest; & the Gables. This is gross, but I want to put it out there. The first salon I visited in M.B, quoted me, "a buck fifty an hour". Was I in a law office? Is he thinking that he's an attorney? The guy had the most filthy teeth. Plaque build-up; has he ever seen floss? We're talking and I cannot focus on what he's saying! I can only focus on his teeth! I'm thinking to myself, he's in the business of beauty & his teeth are gross!! There's no way this guy is going to change my look, if he can't take care of his look. So, I tell him it would be fiscally irresponsible of me to pay that kind of money for the 4-5 hour process he was describing ( 4x $150.00 = $500./$600).
The other stylists were not as repulsive as the one above, but still the price range was $300 to $150. And one stylist recommended hi-lights only; ignoring what I wanted to accomplish. Maybe the process was too much work for him. When I consulted with Claire, she completely and in detail, explained the entire process, preserving the integrity of my hair, and the dollar amount.
I am ecstatic! I am so happy that I went with Paris Claire salon! Laurent, Claire & Oliver did the unimagineable. They transformed me to higher plateau. I have received so many compliments. People don't recognize me; it's fun and Im loving life large!!
Pros: Professional; tidy; fun
Cons: Parking meter - park in the garage for long length time
