I'm new to Portland, so I did a bit of research before taking my car to a repair shop. "Burnside" came up a winner, but of course, you always feel like you're taking a big risk when it comes to auto repair. Fortunately, my research paid off. I was greeted promptly (even though they were plenty busy) and was asked questions about the problem with my car in a respectful, straightforward manner. Although I don't know much about cars, my instincts told me these guys knew their stuff and that my car was in capable hands. Trust is hard to come by these days, but not impossible to find. I will definitely take my car back to Burnside for any future repairs or maintenance.
Pros: knowledgeable mechanics
Cons: they're so busy that parking is difficult
