For those who seek the ultimate in "behind the gates" luxury and golf as it has evolved for the upper classes, this is one you might love to take a peak. You need the personal connection with a member to get on the courses; but if you have very deep pockets you can at least get inside to see a sales staff person if you are able to pre-qualify and if they believe you are a sincere buyer. Private luxury homes abound and they are inhabited a few weeks a year by owners who easily would make a who's who list in global business magnates and/or family wealth. The centerpiece property is the pyramidal clubhouse facing views to the South that include unbelievable homes crawling up the foothills of Mt. Eisenhower (the unmistakable trademark mountain in Indian Wells), some with underground garages built to house large 20-car collections of some of the sportier members. The two Fazio layouts include the fab Mountain Course, winding its way through exquisite landscaped fairways and elevated tee boxes in the center of Vintage; and the completely different style Desert Course North of the clubhouse; which gives glimpses of homes that conjure up daydreaming of "how can anybody afford this...? and a memorizing course layout that only substantiates how incredibly perfect these members must demand for the condition of their jewel in the desert. The pro shop resembles a high end Rodeo Drive approach to golf gear and wear; while the locker rooms for both men and ladies are impeccable gigantic facilities where you can have superb cuisine served to you while you?re playing cards with your buds; or using the state of the art spa facilities of each locker room. Glancing at the names on the lockers will confirm who your fellow members might be if you are ready and able to make the major financial commitment to join this incredible piece of desert luxury...Southern California Style! If you are ever fortunate enough to get the rare opportunity to play The Vintage Club, don't miss it!
