My brittany spaniel and I just completed a 6 week puppy training class with Keith Tomlinson, the head trainer at Topanga Pet Resort. I'm very pleased with the results and the progress that my dog has made going one hour each Saturday morning for 6 weeks. Keith has extensive training experience and his tips were invaluable. My dog had a bad habit of jumping up on the counter and grabbing things. Keith told me that my dog needed to associate this behavior with a negative outcome. He gave me a few tips on simple steps we could take to get our dog to stop jumping. We took his advice and It only took a few days to stop his unwanted behavior. It was a great class for learning the basics (come, sit, stay, heel, both on and off the leash). I would recommend the class highly for puppies! The facility has a huge fenced in yard for training the puppies as well as a number of other fenced in yards for dogs that are boarding there. The staff is very professional and friendly and the grounds are well kept and very clean. The boarding facility is very clean and provides lots of room, both in-doors and out-dors for dogs boarding here. We'll be boarding our 3 brittanys soon when we go on vacation!
