Businiess name:  Liquid Bean Espresso & Bakery
Review by:  Coffee L.
Review content:
Near the West Eugene branch post office and DMV, Liquid Bean Espresso is about 1 block off West 11th Avenue. They've recently added outside seating in summer weather, and have a drive through along the side of the building. Inside, the decor is truly different. Tables, chairs and wall art are all hand-crafted. The owner takes used items and recycles them in a fantastic fashion. It's sort of a cross between Dr. Seuss and Mary Engelbreit -- lots of red and yellow and black, many coffee and tea related items, with many retro styles incorporated. Take time to go around and check out the place -- it never fails to amaze me. How on earth did she have the artistic sight to know she could make something fabulous out of forks & spoons, alarm clocks, old flat irons, antique coffee pots, and used thermoses? The coffee is fine -- I've found it depends on who makes your cup on how great it will taste. The baked goods are terrific -- muffins, cookies and a delectable brownie scone. Soup, salads, quesidillas and wraps are also good. A rice crusted quiche is also interesting, and usually tasty. There are daily specials, including a baked potato day! Early morning will find a line waiting for coffee. Lunch is busy right at noon, but you rarely are going to be fighting for space to sit. Liquid Bean is wonderful for kids, and a perfect place to meet a friend for a little treat. Inexpensive to average pricing.
