Businiess name:  Hofbrauhaus Newport
Review by:  Ashley G.
Review content:
YUM! That sums it up for the Hofbrauhaus in Newport! To my knowledge, there are only two Hofbrauhaus's in the US - Newport and Las Vegas... and Newport's is BETTER! They have a wonderful selection of traditional German food, but they also have some of the regional favorites. I went with my mother, and we started off with an appetizer of goetta links... and then my meal include an assortment of sausages, including mettwurst. Now, perhaps these are more widespread than I think... but all I know is when I moved out west and married my husband, whenever i talk about goetta or mettwurst, people look at me like I have two heads. It's only back home in the good old Cincinnati that people are speaking my language - and the Hofbrauhaus serves these German favorites! My mom and I went all out on this meal, and we each finished up with a dessert... and shared, of course! Apple Streudel and a Bavarian creme Puff. EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING was *exceptional* in quality. Do keep in mind, if you go, that they often have a very authentic, very loud band playing German music there! When we went, the host thankfully offered to seat us in a room off to the side. You could enjoy the music, but still hear yourself speak (unlike the Hofbrauhaus in Vegas, but that's another review...)
