Review content:
If you want the great country scenes and folk art of Kentuckys artist please visit the Kentucky Art and Craft Gallery. The Gallery is ALWAYS in tip top shape and there is always ample parking. I love the folk music they play as you are walking through the different galleries and actually meeting the artist and getting a chance to buy their artworks. The Kentucky Art and Craft Foundation was established in 1981 by then First Lady of Kentucky Phyllis George. The Foundation's Gallery opened it's doors in 1984. The foundation's facilities include the Shands Gallery, the Downstairs Gallery and the Retail Sales Gallery. There is a wide variety of handmade crafts, from traditional baskets and quilts to folk art and contemporary crafts such as jewelry, glass, ceramics and wood.
