And it's not just me. There are innumerable complaints about Avas Flowers' flippant and unprofessional treatment of especially out-of-state orders:

I am convinced that all of the positive reviews about Avas Flowers are from people who either live near enough to their storefront to order in person or are Avas' friends, family, or employees.
My sister has been ill for many years, and this was the first birthday on which she was feeling pretty good. The flowers were to mark the day. Avas Flowers did not deliver an arrangement I ordered but very transparently lied about delivery attempts being made to an empty home, which was not the case. The best they could do when my sister called to demand a refund for me was to feign offense.
For the next six days, I made contact with them four times via customer service chat so that I could have a record of their promises made and broken. Each time I was told that my order was being checked on. I have my serious doubts that a local vendor was even contracted. After three days went by, I told the customer service rep that the original flowers in my imaginary order were probably dead by now, so I just wanted a refund. Even then, a refund was not forthcoming though the day before, the call center manager had promised me a refund if the flowers were not delivered that day.
I eventually had to dispute the charge on my credit card because Avas Flowers did not have the decency, integrity, or professionalism to take the charge off my card. No reputable business would conduct themselves in this manner, charging a customer for a service never rendered.
