Review content:
This is a newer hotel. The place is clean. They have a pool, work out area, high speed internet connections in the room, sattelite TV, and a free breakfast buffet in the morning. I've put up a lot of business partners, and they are all satisfied with the location and rate. Be sure you ask what specials might be in place, or look on-line for the best rate -- the regular price seems high for the location. The staff is great to work with.
The real downside to Hampton Inn is the surroundings are so blah . Located right on West 11th Avenue, the hotel backs up to a bark mulch yard, which is not the most lovely thing to look at.
There is not an on-site restaurant. The hotel web-page lists "nearby" restaurants such as Steelhead Brewery and Koho Bistro. Nearby is a relative term -- the Brewery is in the downtown core (about 3 miles away.) Koho is probably 8+ city blocks away. Just be aware: none of the restaurants noted on that web page are in convenient walking distance. All are minutes away by car. There is a brand new "My Coffee" location just next to the Hampton, but the food offerings at that spot are limited. West 11th is packed with fast food and casual dining spots and a couple large grocery chains. There are very few "fine dining" locations along this stretch of road.
