Review content:
When you walk in the door of the Alpine Bread Basket, you will be tempted to forgo the table and just take a giant cinnamon roll out of the bakery case and leave. Get the cinnamon roll to go, and then get a table. They make all their own baked goods and then do yummy things with them like make their homemade cherry bread with gooey icing into the best French toast on the planet. The service is friendly and they have little flags on your table that you can raise or lower when you want service. I love this concept, as I hate waitresses who ignore me, and I hate waitresses who hover when I am trying to converse with my dining partner, so the flag thing is great. If I need them, they come, and if I don't, they stroll by and occasionally fill my iced tea, but don't keep asking "how ya doing over here?" Back to the food. It's all yummy. Eat here even if you live 30 miles away like I do, it's worth the drive.
