Review content:
I was baptized through this CC in 09/2006. I had the same experience here that I have had in other large churches: Many people are genuinely warm, sincere believers, but the majority are spectators who want to disappear into the crowd and not be bothered with 'bearing one another's burdens'. With that being said, this church could extend a little more warmth and friendship to its newcomers. I was going through a difficult time when I attended this place, and I found myself in tears often. But despite the fact that I was very obviously sitting alone with no friends or family with me, people looked right at me and said nothing. Nothing!! This happened for over a month, with at least 3 such experiences that I can remember, so needless to say I left and never returned. How can a church reach out to a lost and dying world when it can't (or won't) even reach out to comfort one of its own??
