Within the first week they knew that a special event permit was needed. I had to call them once a week to see if they had gotten the appropriate and required insurance (that they should have already had) because I had already paid them. Every time I called they always said that it was going to be taken care of tomorrow. This went on for FOUR months and the permit insurance wasn't achieved until about a week before my wedding. I was on a first name basis with the employees, Sheri Whitman and Amy Allen of the Okaloosa county public works department because I couldn't get the issue straightened out. Sheri was even calling me randomly to let me know that I needed to get a hold of the wedding vendors I was using because she hadn't heard anything. She went out of her way and job description to try and ease my stress. On the day of my wedding Jeannette had someone call me 3 times in the limo because I was running a few minutes late. She was more stressed and panicked than I was when I arrived at the ceremony site. She rushed me down the aisle way and explained nothing to me of how the ceremony was going to go. She also tried to take the rings from my husband's 6yr old son after I had given them to him and wanted to know who the ring bearer was (I guess because she thought he was too little). During the ceremony, the officiant, Duane dumped over my sand unity ceremony that I had provided. He also tried to announce the wrong last name when officially announcing us as husband and wife. After being corrected before it was announced for everyone to hear, he STILL got my name wrong and announced my first name as Kimberly. That is NOT close to my first name. There is a 10 day window after your wedding day where you have to have your marriage license/paperwork turned in to the courthouse to get your official marriage certificate. On the 10th day I still had not received anything in the mail so I called the Clerk of Courts office and they had not received the paperwork. I called Duan
