Review content:
I have shopped at Dollar General Stores since 1983, when they were only in the place they were founded, Scottsville, KY. I was the friendliest store that carried everything you could imagine. It is hard to believe that at that time they were the most popular general mercantile for everyone in the area. They carried their own line of clothing, goods, and services.
I was pleased when one opened in Ohio, yet it lacked the hometown feel. The "dollar" in Dollar General doesn't go as far as it used to. I noticed a year ago when the packaging started to downsize. When a box of crackers went from four rolls in a box down to three yet the price stayed the same I knew times where changing. They carry a wide selection of staple foods, clothing, bedding, cleaning products much like the national chains like Walmart. It is still the cheapest place to buy over the counter medications.
Their employees are generally pleasant, but the stores are often in disarray. It is not easy to navigate a shopping cart through the store, but you still get a bargain.
They recently have added more clothing, and a scrapbooking section which thrilled me. Even with the complaints I may have it is one of my favorite stores to visit.
I could not find a general population email, but corporate address is listed below.
