Review content:
An avid sushi fan, a friend was surprised to learn that I had never been to OSake restaurant in Montgomery Village. According to them, it was the best sushi around.
Finally, I got the chance to go there, and since that time, it has been about my favorite sushi restaurant in town.
Osake is owned by the award-winning Gary Chu, who also owns Gary Chu's Chinese restaurant. He has a mastery of the art of blending flavors gently and subtly so that they explode in a symphony of flavor, tastes and textures layered over each other in surprising and delighting ways.
The restaurant IS a little on the pricey side, but well worth it when you have the chance to splurge.
Tastefully decorated, with simple lines and mellow lights, there is very little of the usual Asian-themed decor, but the setting is still just right.
The atmosphere is beautiful, the wait staff is friendly, informative and glad to offer you suggestions--for example, the Martini Prawns! (You have to try them to believe it.)
