Review content:
This was my first experience with Dim Sum, and Yen Ching does a brunch on Sundays. Yen Ching is a very clean, nice restaurant and the waitstaff was very pleasant and patient.
When you sit down you get a one-page menu with all of the dim sum items listed. Most of the dishes serve two people. There isn't much of a description of the items, so you need to be adventerous and just order a bunch of items. However, this is also somewhat expensive.
We ordered beef congee (a rice soup), aromatic pork (fatty bacon), pork steamed buns and jellyfish. All of those items were excellent. The crullers (a sort of doughnut) were not very good at all.
It was certainly a good experience, I just don't know if the food was as good as the price. But, as far as I know, it is the only place to experience dim sum in Madison.
