Businiess name:  Rainbow Buffet Restaurant

Review content:
If you want to eat and eat and eat, if you want a variety of food, and if you want it now, Rainbow Buffet is the place for you. Located on Bergen Boulevard, it is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. (On Sundays, it offers a brunch, of which I have yet to try.) The food ranges from good to adequate in the taste department. They have several buffet stations: an American/Continental one, a Chinese cuisine station, a fruit/salad station, a finger food/soup station, and a dessert station. Of all the food choices, I think their Chinese cuisine selections are top notch, probably better than most Chinese restaurants. I prefer their General Tso's chicken, which has the right amount of crunchy texture, sweetness, and spicyness. When they have crab legs, patrons flock to that area like seagulls. The chinese cuisine has something for everyone....veggie dishes, beef dishes, dim sum or egg rolls, satays, etc. Kids will enjoy the fact that the place has french fries, chicken nuggets, corn nuggets, and onion rings. There are also soups, fruits, and salads. During dinner, there is a carving station and a Japanese type grill center station,in which they heat up your chicken/ veggie choices from a selection. The American/ Continental selections are good, although some are questionable. I was suprised how good the Baked Ziti was. I tried their version of the Monte Cristo sandwich..it was good, although it had the wrong ingredients. If you get to the buffet before 4pm, you get a lower price. After 4pm, and the price goes up. For about $10-$12 a person, you can eat to your heart's content. Each day, selections change....I saw tripe at one buffet station one day(see what I mean by questionable.) Try their chicken satays if they are available. Your servers simply bring you your your drinks and take your dirty or empty dishes so that you can go up to get a clean dish and more food. You should tip your server a dollar or two for that. Dessert is limited to several cake to several cake selections, pudding, and ice cream. Cake portions are quite small. The desserts are okay, but nothing to jump up and down about. The pudding is okay, but there is something odd about the taste or texture..maybe its just me. My son likes the ice cream, but I find it a bit watery. I think it may be ice milk. Parking is good, so do not fret. I think it is a good place for the family, or if you cannot decide what you want to eat, or if you simply want to stuff your face. So you see, everyone is happy!
