Review content:
I have some real BAD news for those of you who might have been traveling to Coralville to dairy Bar....it is closing. Now, I don't mean for the summer . I mean for good. it seems the car dealership on the corner has bought them out and plans to expand. Thus no more Dairy Bar.
Gone are the evening trips with the kids after swimming to get ice cream......gone are the monkey tails which are so much fun to eat.....gone is the spring trip the local 1st grade takes to get ice cream during the last week of school before summer and gone are the memories of all the ice cream I have wiped from faces and little fingers when my kids were growing up. I would be lying if I said I was anything but sad. As I sit here writing this review my heart is heavy and I feel as though a friend is gone forever. Because that is what the Dairy Bar was for many of us in the area....a place where our kids could enoy ice cream, sit outdoors at little tables and experience an important part of summer in the midwest......the local ice cream place. So here's to you dairy Bar for all the memories you have helped make for so many families.....you may be gone but you are certainly NOT forgotten! Thank you. :-(
