Review content:
My husband and I just relocated to Los Angeles from France. We are use to hardware stores where the staff actually know about hardware and have friendly advice on how to fix things. After being completely frustrated with Home Depot, their uninformed staff, and our inability to find items or anyone that can help, we went to a tiny neighborhood hardware store. What a find! The place is completely organized and packed with everything you will ever need. Best of all they have parking. Just pull into the Carl's Junior and make a left into A &B's parking lot.
The staff is incredibly knowledgeable. I just held up a tiny faucet part from my 1920s home and he was able to find a replacement! Ancient fuses, no problem! I felt like I was in a small town. The staff is Korean, some speak better English than others. But if you are patient, they will be too! Considering how much they know, you just need to show them the problem. Two seconds flat, they will bring out the part.
The place is busy. Clearly, the local Korean-American community know something that the rest of us don't. A & B Hardware has really impressive service and decent prices.
